John was a good guy. I played tennis with him in high school and he would always get me to laugh with his dry sense of humor. My condolences to all of his family.

My heart is so heavy for my old friend and doubles partner. We spent so many summers driving our mopeds and playing endless sets with a jug of water and a sandwich. Life's twists and turns don't always allow youthful friends to stay close, but I am blessed for the memories of our times together. I will cherish our times my friend. Love always. Dave Hodges
