While I was able to give a brief Scout Master minute at Jack's wake before the Scouts sang Scout Vespers, I thought that I would write an extended version and a few other thoughts:

Jack was dedicated to God, his country, his family, his troop, the Boy Scouts, and the community. He was a leader and a teacher of thousands.

My life has been greatly blessed by being a second mother to Jack. The added blessing has been the beautiful gift of his very loved wife, the addition of Jenny, Jim and Jeremy as grandchilren and the precious great grandchilren, made this blessing complete. Jack was a son in every way, always there to help his family and of course to add some fun. Jack was just an awesome man and had a great influence on me as a kid. My heart goes out to Jeremy and all of his family.
