Not sure what to say?

This is being posted way after his death, but since I have found this obituary I need to say to his family: Mr. Veselka was a good and fair man, who with his wife raised a wonderful family. I was fortunate enough to be a family friend, especially to John Jr., and I remember all fondly. May good bless Mr. Veselka's memory and continue to bless his fine family.

Dear Veselka Family,

I always remember as a child stopping off at his house on the way home from school and getting a drink from the fountain he had set up on the back porch with the "after-school crew". After a drink we'd jump on his swing. He was a good neighbor to our family, and very friendly to all the children in the neighborhood.
Our thoughts are with your family.
The Cody Family; Mark, Holly, George, Charlie and Henry

I remember Mr. Veselka, Jack Hurley, and my father meeting at the neighborhood corner to share conversation on many summer evenings. I hope that the three of them have met once again. My regards to the Veselka family. For many of us with happy childhood memories, this family is a distinct part of the reason why.

Dear Veselka Family,
I have fond memories of Mr. Veselka as I was one of the "neighborhood kids". My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

Lillian, and family. My prayers and love are with you today and always. I worked for John many years and remember the times at the German Club You all have been like my family. I'm so glad that I got to see him when I was home last August. Lillian I'll call you soon. Love Jo

Uncle John was always one of the "good guys!" He had lots of stories that I remember when I was young and growing up in Vestal and later after we moved to the state of Maine. And I remember that he always loved cars - especially Chryslers! Our best to you Lil, and all the kids...I know that while you miss him terribly that you know he is in a great place in heaven seeing lots of family and friends. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

As brother and sister, John and I always looked out for each other. We had many good times then and more as we got older. Paul and I really enjoyed the times Lillian and John joined us for a time share vacation. Good memories make us smile and be glad for the time we all spent together.

Jim and Family,
Your grandfather seemed like a wonderful man who will be greatly missed. May your memories of him bring a smile to you face.

Mrs. Veselka, Mary, Ed, Margaret, John, and family - I am so sorry to hear that your Dad has passed. I have such wonderful memories of the many times we (Robin and I) spent with all of you while we were growing up and how your Dad treated us like we were one of 'the kids'. He was always very kind and gentle. Although I know you'll miss him terribly, I also know that he is now joyful, happy and at peace. You are in my heart and prayers. Much love to you all.
