Not sure what to say?

Sallie, you are in my thoughts today, wish I could be there for your Dad's service. He was such a kind & thoughtful person, touching so many lives. The obituary you created for him is so well done, and well deserved. I have many fond memories of your Dad, and wish I could be there to show my respects. He will be greatly missed! Peace & love to you & your family.

Dear Sallie,
The sad news about your dad reached us in Rome. Cam and I are so sorry not to be able to attend the funeral tomorrow. Please know that we are thinking about you and remembering with admiration and affection an extraordinary man who was a champion in life as well as on the gridiron. Patti and I are certain that Daddy is delighted to be reunited at last with his great friend and teammate. Love, Peggy Dean Glenn

Sallie what a beautiful obituary about your dad he was all the things you say!
He loved life and he loved people.
John Vines touched a lot of lives, the world needs more people such as him.
It saddens me to hear of his passing.

Our prayers are with the Vines Family. He was such a kind friend and neighbor to our Mom, Katharine Armbrester up on Granville AV before she left. We miss both of them. Rand, Miriam, MaryKatharine & Rachel Armbrester

Albert and I are so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a good person, a stalwart citizen of Bessemer. Bonnie Lipscomb

Dear Vines Family,

Some of our fondest memories of Bessemer are when your Dad would come play with our Grandaddy in his basement! The highlight of our summer would be when he would drive us in his firetruck in the 4th of July Parade!

Hail To The Chief!
