Not sure what to say?

Matt,

I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a great guy, and I am blessed to have known him. He is smiling down upon you, proud of the great man that he raised. He will most definitely be missed.

I remember working with John when he was with the ISEA and I was District President of ISEA and he was a tremendous professional and a great guy to work with. I am sure he will be missed.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the family. I have fond memories of John. Patty Bloomcamp (Jefferson City, MO.)

I knew John as a high school teacher in Algona and shortly thereafter a lobbyist at the State Capitol for the Iowa State Education Association around the time we passed collective bargaining for public employees. John was a good friend.

CORRINE AND MATT
I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR OF JOHN'S PASSING. JOHN AND I WERE CLOSE FRIENDS MANY YEARS AGO AND WE WORKED TOGETHER AT THE ISEA. I AM A CATHOLIC AND I WILL TALK TO THE GUYS IN BLACK ABOUT JOHN. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. ROY SHAW

As Associate Executive Director of the ISEA and Executive Director of the DMEA, John was a tireless advocate for Iowa teachers and students.

I am so,so sorry. John helped me out when I had an issue that I couldn't handle by myself. I always appreciated that he advocated strongly for the teacher in such a professional manner I haven't seen since. The world of education is lesser because of his passing.
