My wife Ruth and I attended John's funeral. It was a blessing to see and hear from some of John's family members. It was very apparent that John and Marilyn have blessed many people through their faithfulness unto our Heavenly Father. John like his father (my Uncle Robert) was a peacemaker (Matt. 5:9), their lives sought to bring harmony into people's lives---that only the Gospel can fully accomplish (John 3:16-17 & 14:6).
