Rest In Peace Our Friend.

John, Memories are Forever, And Your Memory will Live on Forever. R.I.P.

The 1982 Bears led by Papa Bear John Vitale... what a motley crew we were!!! Love ya coach!!

Papa John Vitale will always be warmly remembered!!!!!

I would like to send my best to the entire family. I just found out about Mr.Vitale passing. I always respected and enjoyed being around him. Some of my best years as a softball player and teenage years will always have great memories of Mr.Vitale in them as my coach and as a friend. Love and god bless.

Dearest Francine, it is with a sad heart that I just learned of John's passing (since I've not been well the last couple of weeks and have not even read a newspaper during that time). Your devotion, strength, love and faith to your husband and God make me feel honored to call you my friend. You are in my prayers as you begin your new journey, with John now watching over you. I have a huge hug on hold until I see you. Love, Donna

Francine and family, we just learned of John's passing, and wish we could have been there to pay our respects in person. At least we were able to visit him a short time back, and made him smile reliving some of our "antics" with the boys. Although he's gone, he will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Mrs. Vitale, John, and Joe... Mr. Vitale meant a lot to me as a coach and a positive role model. I am so sorry for your loss, but you should be proud of him. I'm very glad to have known him, and I try to emulate him and Mr. Green in my coaching.

All my love and respect to you,

"The Polish Rifle"
(Thanks for the nickname, Mr. V!)

Francine, John, Joey and Families, John loved God, his family and people. He was bigger than life, always with a smile on his face and a great story for the occassion. It was great to know his loving sprit and his zest for what ever his current endeavor was. He helped make Eastlake Boys Softball such a great vehicle for so many young men and helped to form their lives in a good way. It was a great pleasure to have known him. He will be missed by many. Love and peace to you all.

Francine and Family, My best wishes to all during this difficult time.
