John Morrison Vivian

I was a fan and friend of John's. Having John teach at our Good Life Get Togethers was a thrill for me. He was so kind and knowledgeable, and it was an honor to get to know him. I ran the festivals with my partner, Norm, and it was an amazing part of my life. I will always remember John for his warmth and adventurous spirit. I reconnected with him by email years after our festivals and realized how funny he was, too. He holds a special place in my heart. Always will.

I too have wonderful memories of reading his books and have them all...never mind articles he wrote for Mother Earth News...yes he helped us all to live the Good life !

I have always loved his book on practical homesteading. He was an inspiration to me.

My deepest condolences. I met John back in the early `80´s at the Good Life Get Together, of Norm and Sherry´s in upstate NY. There I took a class by him on building stone walls and purchased his book on Homesteading...a book I have cherished over the years.
