Dear Mrs Vogt,
I will always remember General Vogt for his combat spirit, and focus on making USAFE a "combat force" upon his becoming USAFE Commander in Europe mid-70's. I was a young Captain, a weapons officer at Bentwaters RAFB, in England at the time. The emphasis was entirely on safety and stan/eval, not on war-fighting. Gen.
