Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs Vogt,
I will always remember General Vogt for his combat spirit, and focus on making USAFE a "combat force" upon his becoming USAFE Commander in Europe mid-70's. General--

It was an honor to serve under you in Vietnam in 1972. You were a true Warrior in every sense of the word.

Dear Vogt Family -

The Dougherty family will miss John Vogt very much. Great friends throughout the years (and next door neighbors at Bolling AFB in the early 70's) to General Russ and Gerry Dougherty and their kids Dede, Mark and Bryant. I used to watch General Vogt carry his very old, very crippled and very much loved dog from the house to the yard and back -- it always brought a tear to your eye then -- I'm feeling that way again now...
