Not sure what to say?

I've just learned about Dr. Vorhies passing. I decided to see if he was still practicing and was saddened by this news. I was his secretary and assistant for 5 years back from 1985-1990 at the Osler Med building on Swiss Ave. He would always make time to see people who could not afford to see a doctor. The schedule was always full and hectic because he would turn no one away. He saw that my husband was losing weight and found out he had a thyroid problem which would have gone undiagnosed....

To the Family of Dr. Vorhies,
My deepest sympathy to the family. I was a patient of Dr. Vorhies for 34 years. I will always be grateful of the advice and care he provided me over those years.
May you rest in Peace with our Savior Dr. Vorhies. I feel sure we will meet again in our eternal home.
Love,
Claire Miazza

I just learned of Dr. Vorhies passing yesterday. Like many, I am shocked and deeply sadden by his loss. I was planning to write a letter of gratitude to him in response to his announced retirement. It's hard to convey how much I valued his counsel and admired his calm demeanor and intellect. May his memory be eternal.

I am so grateful for the years I was privileged to have such a compassionate and dedicated Doctor who truly devoted himself to patient care. He will be sorely missed in my life and I know the same is felt by all who knew him.

Sincere condolences to his family and friends for the passing of this wonderful man.

Dr. Vorhies was my current primary physician. I learned of his death on yesterday, August 24th. It shocked me to my core. He was one of the most caring, witty and highly professional doctor I have experienced. My deepest condolences to his loved ones and his medical family. He will be forever etched in my hear.

My deepest condolences go out to the family of Dr. John Vorhies who was my doctor for over 20 years. Although, we shook hands & said goodbye at my last visit in July, due to his upcoming retirement, it doesn't ease the sadness I feel from the loss of him. He was a great doctor & many patients such as myself are in better health today because of his treatment & sound counsel.

Dr Vorhies was my internist for over 35 years. We met twice a year for his brand of personal one on one medicine, which I appreciated. We spent as much time on topics of the day and personal subjects as my health, which he was very attuned to.
I will miss him and am sorry he did not get to enjoy his retirement.

I just learned today (8/23/17) of the passing of Dr. John Vorhies. I was shocked by the news and my thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family at this most difficult time.

He was a terrific man and doctor who had a great mind and spirit. His medical advice was always sound and it was my pleasure to be his patient for these last several years. He will be greatly missed by all of those who had the pleasure to make his acquaintance.

John was the best. He cared so much for each of his patients. He made each patient feel special, and always tried to make sure each patient improve the quality of their life. I will surely miss this man as my doctor for 20+ years, and for his counsel in health and life. Condolences to the family.
