Not sure what to say?

Sixteen years.

I was looking at the photo of you and your son today. The black and white photo of you as a captain, in your alphas.

I think you often, John. I wrote about you today. "Have you ever met someone so full of life and confidence that it seemed no challenge was insurmountable? That was [you]."

I knew you too briefly. We were classmates together at TBS. We went through IOC 3-97 together as well. I came to 2/5 almost a year after you got...

A day doesn't pass that I don't think of you, Michelle, and the kids. I'll always cherish our times together at TBS and the last time you and I talked...of course you called me to rub in the fact that your Pats beat my Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Forever in the hearts and minds, our brother in arms from Chicopee. I hope his family is on the path to healing. Eternal gratitude, I express for his service to this nation.

John. I was w/you earlier this afternoon…the below words are as true today as they were when I wrote them back in 2004. You are never forgotten, my friend…always remembered.

Hi there, just thought I would tell you how much that last hug meant to me. It was weird how right at that moment I felt a lifetime of love...and I cried as you walked away. I thank you for all of your honesty, support, bravery and continuing to watch over all of us. I miss and love you daily. Those are the times to hold onto. Semper Fi

God bless you skipper! Im so glad we served together with 2/5! Bridgeport rock package training in 91 was so awesome! I learned a lot about being a grunt from you! Semper Fi Marine!

Finally got to visit you at Arlington. Hard to believe the time that's passed. Semper Fi.

We remember John and his family on this celebration of Veteran's Day. May God give you comfort trough the wonderful memories of this amazing young man.

John, you will never be forgotten my friend. I think of you often and wonder why! How could this have happened to such a great man, father, friend and marine. I miss and love ya buddy. Semper Fi!!
