John Walder, Jr., born May 19, 1951, a native of Prichard, AL a resident of Mobile, AL, departed this life on September 27, 2013. John was a retired employee of James T. Strickland Youth Center for 32 years. He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted and loving wife, Hilda Pittman Walder; 3 sons, Erick (Denise) Walder, Sankore Walder, Perry "Dondrell" Shaw; 1 daughter, Tammy (Ryan) Dickerson; 6 sisters, Evelyn (Sherman) Bray, Diane (James) Groomes, Rosie Holloway, Bernice McNab, Ruthie (Will) Holloway, and Marilyn Walder; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 505 N. Price Avenue, Prichard, AL., from 9 a.m. until 11a.m. am funeral hour. Rev. Norvel Glover, Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL. Arrangements are entrusted to the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home 925 S.
