John D. Walko

My deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Walko, before his advanced degrees, taught and inspired many lives at Columbia High School. He was a wonderful teacher and a caring human being. I was in his model congress club. He taught us about parliamentary procedures and impeachment, lessons vividly reinforced on TV this month. Decades later, I still remember his kindness and astute vision. His was a life well lived.

To all of John's Family: John was a good Friend for many years. I am very sorry for your loss.

I had the honor of knowing John. Hearing him talk about education was something in itself. He was so passionate about recognizing students in the community and giving them praise. He will be missed and prayers are with you all in this tough time.
