Not sure what to say?

I met Mr. Walters in Stat class and had him again for Trig. His antics and unique way of teaching stayed with me and shaped me over the last 30 years. I graduated in 1993, and I met my husband of 26 years in his 2nd period Stat class....off a bet to score the highest grade on a test. Mr. Walters went along with the bet, and the rest is history for Craig DeLisi & I. Today I am a homeschool mom of 14, and I OFTEN talk about him as I teach math and even when I prepare salami and dill pickle...

Something made me thing of Mr. Walters today, and though some time has passed since his passing, I wanted to share with his family that even though it has been 20 years since having him as my trigonometry and probability/statistics teacher, I still think of him and smile. What a pleasure to be taught by him and learn not only about math but also about his experiences in life. I fondly remember him spelling words to us in morse code and repeatedly stating that one of us would major in...

Mr Walters was one of the best teachers we ever had. His math classes and intro to Computer programming classes started me in my long career. He was there for his students and possessed great wit and character. Very much an inspiration to me. The world is surely poorer at his passing.

Fair Winds and Following Seas, Shipmate.

One of the best teachers I had at Orange Park High School. I still remember Mr. Walter's stories about Marvin Dipwort and his bicycle mounted theodolite.

Wonderful teacher, he will be missed. Rest In Peace Mr Walters. Gone but not forgotten.

Mr. Walters was my favorite high school teacher and instilled in me a live of learning! I still tell people about Martin Dipworth and the bicycle mounted theodolite! Rest in peace!

We are so sorry to hear of Johns passing. We heard about it from our son Davids Facebook contact with Caroline. We enjoyed the VP-24 ties and the Hollycrest ties. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate his life and Salvation.
