Not sure what to say?

I never met the gentleman personally, but saw his unique bowling style on TV in 1962. Adopted the mohes and immediately pulled myself out of a slump in mid-season that season.

John was my idol growing up. I always rooted for him on TV Tounament Time. I used his style which helped me win many trophies; including 3 high average trophies in 2 different leagues. It was my pleasure meeting him and talking to him when he was bowling in Amsterdam NY- my hometown. Joe (Mr. V.) VERDERESE TEACHER AT CCHS TROY FOR 23 YEARS

It was a pleasure to watch him bowl on tv.He was my all time favorite.Rest in Peace Mr 823

I know there is not much I can say to make things better, but I can say is Mr.Walther is one man I won't forget from the early days at troy bowl to the times he stopped at my house after checking on the park, Right on through my adult years of bowling. He is definetly on my list of people i'll never forget.

My sincere sympathy to John's family and friends. I remember John from the early 1960's during my bowling years and I can still recall him saying "BE THERE" when he wanted or needed a strike. His bowling style was one that could not be replicated. My prayers will be said for John and family.

To a great man, a great bowler, and to one of the best fisherman to ever live on and fish Saratoga Lake. God bless you and watch over you.
