Not sure what to say?

Jane and family,

I just returned from overseas to be informed of John's passing. What a rock in so many ways. A gentleman in the true sense of the word. Always there with kindness, generosity, and confidence. A solid neighbor, a great ball player. What contributions on so many levels.

Dear Warners family, I was saddened to hear of John's passing. Outside of my father and grandfathers, "Mr. Warners" was one of the most influential men to ever touch my life. One of the sadder days in my life was learning before cross country season my senior year that "Coach" was retiring from coaching. I so loved to run for him because whether I was running well or poorly, he gave me the right perspective on life. Such a gentle soul and good sport. I loved and admired him so much and...

Dave and Gary, I did not know your Dad personally but his character and faith shone brightly through his boys. I have been blessed to know you as well as your brother in law Marty. My symphathy to your family during this time of grief. God bless you all!

Hey family I am so sorry to here of your lost and my prayers are with you all, as you know my mother passed away in December and it was and still is devastating. I love all you guys and be strong. Hugs!!!!

My prayers go to your family in your lost. It was a pleasure to have been part of Coach Warners' "Black Pack"!

Dear Warners family,
It was a privilege to know Mr Warners. His Christian example still reverberates with me even after 40 years. I saw how he acted as a cross-country coach, teacher, father, and husband, and have used that as a model. I sorrow with you, but rejoice in our glorious hope.

Dear Jane and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about John's passing. I wish that I could be there with you. John was a wonderful man and cousin. My thoughts and Prayers are with all of you. God Bless.

I was very sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a strong influence in my life and I will always remember him. He did his student teaching at Seymour Christian Junior High where I was a student many years ago and he coached the girl's softball team. We did not lose one game in 3 years and had a terrific time. He (and Denny Gabriesle) also coached me at the Rec Center while I was in High school. I am thankful for his Christian witness and his enthusiasm for the game. Also, I am so...

Mrs. Warners & Family:

I am so sorry to hear of Coach Warners' passing. A substantial and formative force in my life is gone.

Coach Cleats taught me inspiration by drawing me to running from football four decades ago. He taught me teamwork and shared purpose in our pursuit of common goals. He taught me to set goals by encouraging the pursuit of improved times and clawing our way to an improved team finish. He taught me continual improvement and personal growth in all these...
