Not sure what to say?

Thoughts and Prayers from the Bob and Shirley Whitmoyer family.

John was a golfing partner, fellow-competitor, and mentor of mine. I first met John in 1961 when we met in the first round of the West Shore C.C. Club Championship. We developed a life long friendship during which time Johnny changed me from a casual wild-swinging non-thinking player to a thinking golfer. John taught me to play each hole backward from the green to the tee and turned me, with a lot of practice, into a single-digit handicap golfer.John was a wonderful golfer, with a textbook...

My dad introduced me to Mr. Weaver over at West Shore Country Club when I was about 14 back in the 1970s. He was very friendly and kind. I send condolences for my mother Patricia Latham (who was a classmate at Camp Hill HS) and me, as well as, on behalf of the West Shore CC.

Robert Latham, Jr.
West Shore CC Past President

john and I were kindred spirits when it came to golf. We could discuss the golf swing mechanics, strategies, short game, whatever, forever. Always enjoyed our discussions, he was quite a student of the game and a great player despite his handicap. An exemplary person. Will see you in heaven Johnny. While you are there, remind Arnie that you beat him in the PIAA state golf championship.

I met John during my 14-year tenure as Camp Hill H.S. golf coach. His accomplishments in the game were all the more remarkable due to his physical disability. In that regard, I admired him for taking what life dealt him and making the most of it.

Sincere condolences to the family. And R.I.P., John

John was a great friend as well as a salesman of paper products. We had many friendly visits at WSSD and I learned much from him. My condolences to the entire Weaver family.
