Not sure what to say?

John was a Pillar in our church. He will be deeply missed. His kind, gentle smile and wisdom I will never forget.

John was one of the kindest, soft spoken men I have ever met. Such a humble soul. The knowledge he carried within himself will never be replaced by anyone. What a loss for his family and for the state. Praying for a full recovery for Marge.

I had known John through work at Coal Creek Station, starting in the late 1970´s. My memories of John are many and always good. He came to our office one day to discuss our very flat organizational structure and how it worked. I think he tried to organize Coal Creek Station with a more flat structure because of that visit with us and gave employees great freedom. My memory is how unassuming he was and his thoughtfulness.

John was my supervisor at Coal Creek Power Station prior to his being promoted to plant manager. I always liked John as he was easy to have a conversation with. I will miss him. My condolences to his family and all those who were close to him.

My husband, Jerry, was seated next to this gentleman on a plane a while back. Mr. Weeda was told he had been upgraded to First Class. He told the flight attendant he was having a good conversation with my husband so he would just stay where he was. Jerry commented after we landed on how much he enjoyed visiting with him, and what a great guy he was. Our condolences to the family.

We lost a great leader in our community. The loss was to the entire city, local government, community benefit organizations, and me who had been mentored by this wonderful person. His influence, admonitions, voice, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever. He was a wondeful boss and human. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers and Love, Paula Hochsprung
