I have just heard of the loss of your father. What a wonderful man!!!! I have such memories of him at school.....quiet, purposeful....and always genuine and personal.....He made MCS a great place to be! He was always just so nice to me......

It is not surprising that he was such an accomplished man......And even less surprising that I never heard about his war efforts until now......just an extraordinary man making his life seem ordinary.....I think that is why they are called,...

To all the Welchies (Mike, Sherry, Mark & Dan),

Your Dad was the best. I saw him about 5 years ago, when he was in Marcellus and we had a nice visit. Growing up in our neighborhood, he was one of the Fathers that made my childhood so wonderful and memorable. I often tell people about the village and neighborhood that I call home and the fond memories of the 1950's and 60's. I could not have had a better place to grow up and Jack was an integral part of all of that. I will always...

I'm sorry to hear the news about Jack, he will always be Mr. Welch to me. There are so many memories, when I think about them I cry and smile at the same time.
I remember how he protected the school with intensity and you didn't want to get caught messing something up, which I did a few times, but at home he was easy going and a lot of fun to be around. I know because I spent some time at the Welch household. You are all so lucky to have such a great Dad. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Welch. I got to know him a lot better as years went by. One of my favorite memories is him visiting in Steamboat Springs, and going to the Saloon where we went western dancing.

Please know that you are in my prayers and find comfort in knowing that he lead a very rich life.

I can remember Mr. Welch chasing "us" off the school roof or trying to keep us in line. He was always respected and in later years just an all around fun guy to be around as I found out. It is always hard to loose a family member but Mr. Welch lived a self sufficent and long life, find comfort in that. My prayers go out to all his family.
