I first met Mr Basil when he came into our computer store with Carolyn. I had a feeling come over me that he was a man whose brain contained a "Huge" amount of knowledge, I was quite intrigued and scared. Mr Basil had not only book brain, but also he had world/travel brain. However, Mr Basil had common brain, or better known as street sense, that was the scary feeling. I'm so sorry to learn of Basil's death, although he obviously lived a long, full and meaningful life.

I didn't know him well, but when he lived in Bloomington he used to sell donuts and buns at a table in the entrance hall of the School of Music. My son used to take piano lessons on the same day as the "sticky bun" sale (as his 5 year old mind thought of it.)
