Not sure what to say?

Gene,I thank you for all the great food you'd cook, fresh veggies from your garden, and most of all being a great friend to my nephew Glen, his dad L.D.,and my sister Gayle, & neice Lori. You were more family than friend.."thank you". You are going to be missed very much by us all. Your family & friends were all blessed to have you.

Gene you are in many of my childhood memories. I was always your girlfriend and you my boyfriend, like a Grandfather to me. You were the one who would give me confidence to ride that motorcycle, and strength to stand up to the boys. You and Grace were always so, loving and kind. You always told me if I needed a place to run to your house was always there for me. I will miss you so very much!!! I regret not having my children getting to know you as I did. You were the BEST! You will be missed...

Gene, I’m going to miss you. You were in my life during a lot of my FIRSTS! You were my first Turkey Hunting buddy, remember the first time they had a spring hunt; you & I were partners from then on. (I still have that license from 1981). I wished to God I could have made it up there, but Mother Nature just wasn’t going to cooperate- I hope you understand that I just cannot control that darn weather. I had a lot of good times with you & remember the Saturday morning I got my first Seven...

I will always remember the hunting the fishing, the gardens, the example of what a father really was. Uncle Gene will always be in my heart. Thank you Uncle Gene for all those hours of sharing and caring for my sister and myself.
