We were greatly saddened by this news. Our prayers and condolences are with the Whitman family at this most difficult of times. From the management and staff of the Trident Trust Group

My heart breaks for the entire Whitman family. Sending love and prayers at this most difficult time.

Christie and family,

Sincere condolences. John was a great mentor and friend. Your are in our thoughts and prayers.

John was a good friend. I miss his good sense, acumen, and humor. My deepest sympathies to family and friends.

John will be greatly missed by all that knew him. I had the pleasure of knowing him through the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. He was also a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America Bergen County Chapter 800. Rest in peace John and condolences to the family.

Governor Christine Todd Whitman and Family. I am sorry for the loss of Mr. John Russell Whitman. My Mother Dr. Anne B. Fosbre was appointed by Governor Whitman to serve New Jersey faithfully for five years on The New Jersey State Board of Public Accountancy. I too lost a loved one quickly but I want you to know that the Whitman Family is in my thoughts and prayers. I proudly have a beautiful picture of Governor Whitman and John on my mantle at home.

God called a wonderful man home...

Christie, Kate and Taylor: My deepest condolences. John was much more to me than a business associate. He was a mentor, an ally, a leader, and a friend. His laugh and good humor made for a wonderful workplace, while his intelligence and work ethic made for a successful workplace. We all lost a great man. My prayers are with you.

Our prayers are with the Governor and her family.
