A resident of Denham Springs passed away at his home on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the age of 70. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Friday, October 27, 2017 beginning at 9:00am. Deacon George Hooper will conduct funeral services at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Beech Ridge Cemetery. He is survived by his children, Jeremy and Mandy Whittington, Mitch and Ja'Niece Whittington, Rebecca Achee, Lawrence Achee, and Paul Whittington, grandchildren, Aidan Whittington, Brayden Whittington, Nicholas Whittington, Caldon Whittington, Peyton Whittington, Destiny Frazier, Scott Alexander, Joseph Caldon Alexander, Kade Chemin; and a great grandchild, Addison Lewis, brothers, Troy, Raymond and Donald Whittington and sisters, Wanda Blanchard, and Susie Barbano. He was preceded in death by his parents Cedric and Vivian Whittington, wife, Elaine Elizabeth Achee Whittington, brothers, Robert Whittington, and sisters, Brenda Hinton, and Carol "Willie" Mech. John was in our family for many wonderful years. Celebrated so many wonderful holidays with my sister and him. He was a good man. It was just tough on him after the loss of my sis. God rest his soul. Praying for all the family.
