Not sure what to say?

Have many fond memories of growing up across the street from the Whittlesey family in Broadmoor. Our parents were good friends, with kids the same ages! We skated on our frozen patio with ice skates our mothers bought at the Junior League League Thrift Shop, spent time at our house on Devils Lake, water and snow skied together, played kick the can on warm summer nights, and got together at our annual Christmas party! Those were the good old days with Fred, Leal, Joff, Mark, Jan and Lele! ...

We last saw you and Peggy at Kim and Roxanne's for an evening of joy and laughter on the river. Raleigh Hills was a great area to grow up.You continue to be a legend. Condolences to Peggy,Jan, and the rest of the family. Susie (David) Oswald

We had so much fun with John and Peggy over the years, Jamaica with Bongo Icey and Sunsplash, Venezuela, Kilometer 88 poodle farm and tablecloth fire Kayaking in Thailand. our wedding, to name just a few of the adventures we shared. He was the very coolest and we will miss the hell out of him! Susan Peters and Gary Pinker

A great obit about a classic, one-of-kind person. John showed up & added to wherever he was with a story, smile & quiet laugh. And you could put him anywhere & quickly he would have a story & a group of friends. A classic friend who told many, many stories while creating many as well. We will miss John & yet, he remains with us through his many memories & 'John' stories. Share & tell them early & often - all to celebrate this wonderful man.

John truly will be missed!! Diana and Patrick

John leaves a big space in the hearts of his friends who loved his generous spirit and stories about his adventures with Peggy. He was a big man in stature and nature. RIP John. We love and miss you.
