WICKHAM, John Bryan IV, 23, of Montpelier, Va., died on Friday February 20, 2009 at Henrico Doctor's Hospital. Bryan loved playing video games and watching wrestling on TV. He enjoyed the outdoors and took every opportunity to be outside. Bryan was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The Heavens have a new bright star. The family wishes to thank the ICU staff of Henrico Doctors' Hospital for the wonderful care given to Bryan. Bryan is survived by his father, John "Captain" Wickham; his mother, Marie Mercer and her husband, Craig, of Bumpass; one brother, Daniel and his wife, Lacy; maternal grandmother, Mary E. Johnson (Gran Gran); two great aunts, Barbara Wickham Goodman, Betty Wickham; stepgrandmother, Bea Wickham; devoted cousin, Douglas Wickham; four uncles, Robert Wickham, Allen Wickham and his wife, Victoria, Fred Wickham, Walter Johnson; two aunts, Barbara Bunger and her husband Steve, Margaret Covington; and many other cousins and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday February 23 at Beaverdam Funeral Home, 19370 Beaver Dam Rd., Beaverdam, Va. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 24 at Shiloh United Methodist Church 17420 Shiloh Church Rd. Montpelier, Va. at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Shiloh UMC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh UMC Memorial Fund.

Margaret, my prayers go out to you and your family at this sad time. I could feel the love you had for Bryan each and every time you talked about him. He was lucky to have a caring aunt like you in his life!

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Please know that Bryan's life is just beginning and he is at eternal rest with Almighty God. Bryan's memories will be forever shared through the loving thoughts of Aunt Margaret.

Our prayers are with the Wickham family during this time of sorrow. Bryan was a joy to see every time he came into The Village Restaurant in his hometown of Montpelier..his smile will forever be in our memory. Carol, Davis and Thomas Bailey also former classmates

The memories of Bryan in our second grade classroom are precious to me. He was full of life and spirit! Bryan touched the lives of everyone who knew him in a positive way. My thoughts and prayers are that you will feel God's comfort during this time of great loss.

Marie, please know that I am thinking about you and your family during this difficult time.

You cannot help but grieve when such a wonderfully hopeful spirit is gone from your everyday life, but remember that he will always be in your hearts and memories and someday in your eternal life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless you all.
