John D. Wilkins, 90, of Sparkman, died March 10, 2004 in Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia.
He was born July 11, 1913 in Dallas County the son of Mike D. and Tishie Marshall Wilkins. He was a retired safety consultant for the State of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Williams Wilkins.
He is survived by one son, Wayne Wilkins of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Johnette Garrett of Sparkman, Phyllis Ramsay of Holly Springs; three brothers, James Edward Wlkins, Thomas Wilkins and Mike Wilkins all of Sparkman; two sisters, Marie Tutt of Sparkman, Vivian Burke of Willis, TX; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Sparkman First Baptist Church in Sparkman. Burial at Delamar Cemetery near Manning.
