John and I were friends and belonged to many of the same organizations at Washington High School in Los Angeles in the winter class of 1951. John went on to the Naval Academy and I with John's best friend, Ed Voss went to the Univ. of Arizona. I followed John's career and was invited to several of his change of command services.
