Not sure what to say?

I was one of John's FTO's when he joined us at the Sheriff Dept. in Kootenai County Idaho. We had both "fled" Southern California law enforcement and he had plenty of stories to share which always included his sharp wit and amazing sense of humor. John was a great partner, an excellent cop, and a fine man. John will be missed by many. We know the world is a better place because of who he was and we are better having known him. God speed brother.

When I was a young crime reporter, Lt. Wilson was often a helpful and thoughtful source for me. I believe he helped my readers better understand and appreciate the work of TFPD. Now, I'm the president of the board of Voices Against Violence. I appreciate so much that Lt. Wilson participated in our Walk-A-Mile in Her Shoes events. His family, friends and colleagues are in my thoughts.

Very sorry to hear of John's passing. He was an 85-1 VSO Academy mate, and we played many years of basketball and football together. You will be sorely missed, John. We all loved you, and love you still, as you find your place in Heaven. R.I.P., Brother

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

John, you will be forever missed. The world has lost a beautiful soul. I cent even express how much I enjoyed working with you, how I enjoyed having you as my sergeant (at the time). You made us all laugh, every single day. You were a pleasure to work with and to learn from. You were respected and appreciated and everyone who worked under your supervision was better for it. The countless times you made me laugh, the way you watched over all of us.....it makes me so very sad to hear you are no...
