Hello Jan and family! So very sorry to hear about the passing of John; a great lover of God´s outdoors and his natural beauty surroundings. I attended Oswego High School with John and played several years of football with him. He´s a great long-time friend and sports `lover´; I really enjoyed my relationship with John and had many fun times with him in Oswego and Watkins Glen. My thoughts, blessings and prayers are with you and your family. Joe Jones

Oh, Jan, Jeff and Joel, your gut wrenching loss is mirrored by the many souls who love John. You helped him live such a full life. He was a man of integrity, strong beliefs, love and a zest for living. Bless you as you go forward with sweet, powerful, funny, indelible memories.

John, you convinced me handily that we wouldn't know if we didn't go. So we did. And we found what our imaginations could not conceive. I am forever indebted to you for your intrepid, adventuresome spirit.

John was a wonderful neighbor, who always had a smile and a kind word when my dog(s) and I passed his house. He gave much of himself to preserve Montana´s rivers and streams and extended numerous invitations to join him fishing. I regret that never happened. Peace to you, Jan, and the boys.
