I haven't seen John for many years, but I can truthfully say that he had been a positive roll model for me as a student and athlete at South High. Even though I didn't know my uncle Johnnie very well, he will be deeply missed. I'd like to think he passed his unique ability to draw to my son Robert, for that I thank him. My deepest sympathy to the family. I can feel your pain.

John and I attended South High school in Akron in the 1950's. It was a wonderful time, and I do remember John, very well. My deep condolences to his family.
