Not sure what to say?

John (Winky) was a good friend and golf partner at the Mayfield Country Club. We played platform tennis as well, and he was quite the player. It was always great to play a round of golf or have a bowl of soup after a cold Saturday morning on the platform courts. My condolences to Nancy and the family.

I could tell stories and write several pages about our golf matches. We enjoyed our times together on the golf course, his quick wit, math skills, sense of fair play and...

When we met John at our Vandyball round robin games each week, he was not only full of life but also constantly joking, giving everyone a good laugh. He played like a champ even though he was going through major health issues but would not let them hold him back. He was a trooper, for sure. May he Rest In Peace, and continue putting smiles on everyone’s faces up in heaven. We’ll all miss you, John, and send our deepest condolences to your family. I’m so sorry to hear this. I work with John at Key and he was such a genuine guy and on of the funniest people I’ve know. My deepest sympathies. Mike Griffin

John was an amazing boss. Working for and with him made the days fly by. I will always remember John calling me for help with some random pivot table he was building! He was an accepting, compassionate person with a wealth of stories. He will be missed.

I was a coworker of John, who worked closely with him his last 2-3 years at KeyBank. He was a hard working, quick-witted fun-loving colleague with whom, I very much enjoyed working. His love of golf, family and a great story was inspirational and so delightful to witness. My wife, Tracey and I send our most sincere condolences to Nancy and the rest of his family.

Condolences to all. John and I worked together at AmeriTrust and KeyBanc for many years. When I left Key, I never could find anyone who could match his wit and optimistic view on life. He was one of a kind and will be sadly missed.

I had the pleasure working with John at KeyBank. I always leaned on John for his institutional knowledge as a young employee. John was the guy you went to when nobody else knew the answer. He was always happy to help and liked to joke around. We enjoyed giving each other a hard time, that’s what made our relationship fun. Rest In Peace.
