One year. Wow how time flies. So many fond memories.

He would come into Valley Lumber when I worked there (80s), and put us all stitches with his non stop jokes.

We knew Jack as a neighbor and our son's cub scout leader. Every time we talk about "steal the bacon" we think of Jack. He had one of the biggest hearts of any person on God's green earth and was a blessing to many. Our condolences to his family.

I will never forget my friend Jack. He was the funnest, friendliest guy. Talented with wood tools, his CB handle was "The Woodpecker". His smile and laughter would light up a room. It feels like the sand ran through the glass way too quickly for such a beloved guy. I will never forget my friend Jack.

I remember the smile, big heart and laughter. Peace to all.

Growing up my dad always fixed everything from plumbing to refinishing floors. The only memory I have of anyone other than my father fixing a house that we lived in is my memory of Jack tearing out rotted flooring on Jane Edward´s bottom floor apartment where we lived. Whenever someone mentions his name I think of him standing in a hole in our living room with his feet on the ground and the wood subfloor at waist height. That was the first time I met him.
