He was a great coach for my kids! Two daughters, Kaitlin and Allison, made it to the State Track Meet in the 800 all four years while they were at Central High.

John Wissler was my p.e. teacher, basketball coach and track coach at Blumfield. He would show up at my baseball games, unannounced, to show his support. He encouraged and motivated kids to be the best they could. He was also a friend of the family. John touched a lot of peoples lives and will be missed by many.

John Wissler was an outstanding track coach. I remember how passionate he was with his youth when I was with the Midwest Striders Track Team. I learned a lot from him. John has earned his wings. My condolences to family and friends. Kathy J. Trotter

So sorry to see this. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Remembering all of the fun that we had with John while working at Blumfield School. He was a very awesome man and was so dedicated to all of the kids involved in his running club. Thanks for all of the great things that you did John. You will be missed by all who knew you.

Mr. Wissler was my PE teacher at Blumfield, Trainer at Ralston High School, coach of the Cornhusker Flyers (which I was a part of), a Boy Scout Leader and an all around great human. Rest in Peace Coach....
