Not sure what to say?

He was the most wonderful Doctor and always kind, and straight forward. He was our one and only doctor from the time I was in the 2nd grade in NKC until I was grown and had two babies of my own. He kept a picture of my daughter that I named Jane because of his daughter being named Jane. My parents and Johnny and Pete were good friends for years. I never found a doctor that could take his place. He did make house calls! He and his wife Pete and Janie and Blake lived in a house in the street...

I remember when Dr Withrow made house calls to my grandparents who lived next door to us here in Claycomo back in the early 50's. He was such a kind and compassionate Dr. He would let me, as a child, look into his Dr's bag. My grandparents had the most wonderful care. He was certainly one of the best of the old time house call dr's. We shall miss him!

John Withrow was a great physician and pioneer in the field of Emergency Medicine. Hats off to a real gentleman, colleague and friend, Robert E. Collier M.D, Board of Directors, ABEM

Dr. John was one of the "good guys" and a true Southern gentleman.

Jane,

Our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. We will get together when you get back to MN.
