John was born on June 7, 1938 in Onion Lake to Alex and Philomene (nee Lewis) Wolfe. He passed away suddenly on December 3, 2011 at the age of 73 years. At an early age he started working for local farmers and later he became a councilor from 1988 to 1990. He was also a member of the cowboy society for numerous years. Dad was devoted to his traditional ceremonies and beliefs. He took great pride in his children, grandchildren and especially his great grandchildren. He would always tell his kids not to drink or do drugs. He taught his boys to sing, which they carry on today, he showed them that culture was the fun way to live. He always told us to Ahkameyimok. He was a well-respected Elder in the community. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex and Philomene; his baby sister, Alma Jean; and his grandsons, Ryan Wolfe and Mitchell Wolfe. Left to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 32 years, Georgina; his children, Barbara, Martha (Joseph), Chris (Ruby), Salina, Pamela (Ervin), Sandra (Fred), Darin (Tracy), Richard, Allison (Lori), Randall (Jody), Mark (Ashley), Colin, Jeanette (John) and Jesse; fifty-five grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; his aunts, Virginia Wolfe and Josephine Pahtayken; and numerous cousins.
