WOOLDRIDGE, John B. Jr., 80, departed this life June 15, 2012 with Kem Flavin, his best friend and partner of 54 years, by his side. He was the son of the late John B. Wooldridge and Pearl J. Wooldridge. He is survived by his beloved sister, Peggy W. Ordway; aunt, Doris Ligon and her family; niece, Linda Krienen and her husband, Hans; great-nieces, Stephanie Miller, her husband, Will and sons, Henry and Charles; Nicole Trayer, and her husband, Curtis and daughters, Linda and Alexandra, Christina Krienen; and several cousins. He served in the U.S. Navy, graduated from the University of Richmond and the University of Maryland. His passion was teaching for 30 years at Northern Virginia Community College, Lorton Campus. His humor, wit, kindness and enthusiasm will be missed, as will hearing him say: "I'm just hunky-dory!" No service is planned at this time per his request. Memorial contributions in his memory would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.

Not sure what to say?

You are dearly missed, and I will forever treasure your company at the Rotonda pool. I regret that I did not spend more time with you and Kem, as you two were such delightful people and I enjoyed your company so very much.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.
