My condolences to your family on the loss of one of my favorite Cooper Library patrons. I just told a loving story about Dr. Wourms last week to a new librarian -- about him deciding to charge into a dumpster after old books the library had discarded -- and told her what a friend and advocate he had been for all of us. He is missed here among the books.

Deb and Nick,
My thoughts are with you.
Dr. Wourms was a great man, kind and generous. He was a wonderful mentor to all his students. I am forever grateful for the advice and knowledge he transmitted to me, which had a great influence on my scientific career. He will be missed.

Dear Nick,

Nicholas, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Deb, I am sorry to hear of John`s death. I was lucky enough to have been a student of John`s and learned so many things during my time in his lab. John played a huge role in shaping my career and like many, I owe him so much. He was one of the true characters of our discipline and he will be missed.

My condolences to the family. John was a brilliant colleague with a great breadth of knowledge and a quick wit, who could shift effortlessly from the New York street tones of his youth to Old World grace and charm. We miss him.
