JOHN WRIGHT

John and I arrived in LaBelle, Mo in 1950 . He was 2 years younger but we played on the same basketball team and were so cool in our marching band. With his contacts with the LaBelle Star newspaper he was able to print out flyers for for my unsuccessful run for class president. Willie and John attended art openings at the Arts Club and I was proud to have him as my friend. First Class in every way. Emily and I send our love and are privileged to have known him, his brother and his parents.

John was not just my brother in law. He was someone special, a friend, a person who lifted you up, carried you, and was made you laugh. Fly high John! for you were special on earth, as you are in heaven!

John and I were office mates at USNA during the '70s, teaching chemistry. I remember him well; always telling good jokes; full of mirth and cheer. And a stand-up handball and squash player. A few years younger than he, John encouraged me to go to flight school and follow a similar path as he did. It was wise counsel. We lost touch after that, yet as I read in this notice, we were metro DC neighbors of sorts. John was a good man, It appears that he had a close and supportive family...
