Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear of John's passing. I admired him a very long time ago and respected him so much. He was a good man and lawyer. I was a secretary in several law offices back in the day.

To the family of Mr. John Yanas, Recently Father John informed me that Mr. Yanas and Joe had passed and the difficulties he was encountering in trying to deal with these two events. I never met Joe, however, I knew Mr. Yanas for over thirty years' and always held him in high esteem. When I thought that a situation-at-hand was comparable to moving a mountain he provided wisdom and patience in order to approach the circumstances that I was faced with. As I look back I will always...

My heartfelt condolences to the Yanas family. May the Holy Spirit comfort and hold you at this difficult time. My late, beloved father (Ed Carey) went to CBA with John, Sr. When the time came when he could no longer physically get to Mass at Sacred Heart, my father would often say to me, "Ask Fr. Yanas how Iggy is doing and that I say hello!"

I remember Mr. Yanas from my early years starting out working as a secretary in downtown Albany. He was a wonderful man and I respected him greatly. I brought my mother to see him when she needed a lawyer. He was a very handsome asset to downtown Albany in those days. Looks like he had a long and wonderful life. I'm sure he will be missed greatly. My condolences to everyone who knew Mr. Yanas.

To John Yanas family, My heartfelt condolence in the loss of your father. May you always cherish the fond memories of your dad. John, was a true gentleman and had an accomplished legal career. My husband met him as a city judge and became friends for many years. Peace & Love to all!

Fr. Yanas and family, Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of your dad. He kept the faith and he can now lay his cross down. We who are left behind must continue to carry our crosses in this vale of tears. He will be missed. We will be praying for you and the Yanas family at this difficult time. Keith & Kate Kennedy

Rev. John Yanas and family, We offer our condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father. It is admirable that your father, the Hon. John J. Yanas Sr. successfully integrated his family life, exemplary legal career, avocations, and community service into his life. With the support of his family, he attained these goals. Chester (Chet), Barbara and Valerie Sowinski

Fr. Yanas, Patti, Chelsea, and family, my deepest sympathy. May fond memories bring comfort and peace.

Father John, Kathy and Family, I just want to extend my condolences on the passing of your dad. He was a former classmate from St. Teresa´s and close friend of our late mother, Eleanor Lyons Hedderman. When his busy schedule would permit him, he would join Mom and the rest of their eighth grade class at Martel´s for their monthly luncheons, which both of them enjoyed. Also, Mom and I would see BOTH your mom and dad when we attended Mass at St. Catherine of Siena/Mater Christi. Again,...
