I send condolences to the Yanok family for the loss of a brave comrade that I had never met. John and I had served in the 17th Airborne Division during World War II, and I might have been one of his medics had he been wounded in battle. The Veterans administration reported that 1,500 veterans from that war are dying each day, every day.
