Not sure what to say?

I'm so, so sorry to hear of Jonn's passing. He and I were team mates in Brooklyn and competed against each other during our college careers. He at LIU and me at CCNY. He was a humble person and a wonderful player. We used to call him "Little Yaz" after Carl Yastremski. He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. We were good friends and team mates throughout high school and college and stayed in touch during our minor league careers. Unfortunately, we were unable to hook up after our playing days. i'm sure John is in heaven right now hitting those laser line drives. My condolences to the family, Luddy Benedetti.

It is with a heavy heart that I convey my deepest sympathy to the Yeglinski family on the passing of my friend and "Blackbird" teammate John.

To the Yeglinski family....We played against each other in High School but I had the honor of playing along side John at LIU....Great guy...great athlete... my condolences and prayers with all of you.

Hi Ken: I am very sorry to hear about John. John and I were college mates at LIU and I was your coach in Brooklyn for Kings Bay for many years. John was a very special person in my life. I will always remember his mild manner and easy going character. I remember many days coaching you in Brooklyn and spending quality hours with you and your Dad. My deepest sympathy about your dear brother John. I am still teaching and coaching at Beacon High School in NYC. Let me know how you are doing....

Lynda and the entire Yeglinski family, I am a former LIU Blackbird teammate of John's. In our attempt to schedule a reunion after 45 years we became aware of John's passing. i am deeply saddened with the news of John's passing. John was one of those "special" people you meet that come along only so often in one's life. we played as teammates for 3 years at LIU and spend a summer playing in virginia. my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family during this tough time.

Lynda and family, so sorry to hear of John's passing. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest symphathy. May you find comfort in the arms of Jesus in the days ahead. David and Marsha Stroud and family
