John Herman Yoder, 83 of Sebring, Florida passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife of 36 years by his side on August 31st at 2:22pm after a courageous battle with cancer.


Born on December 24, 1941 in Chuckery, Ohio John was the son of the late Enos and Amanda Yoder. John spent 44 years employed by Ranco Controls in Plain City, Ohio as a plastic mold setter where he retired in 2004.


John was an avid sports fan, routinely supporting the Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, John also had a love for any Nascar race. He was very passionate about playing pool and was a great pool player, including participating in various pool leagues. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Sebring, Florida where he enjoyed playing pool with his friends.


Left to cherish his memory include his wife Linda (Bowser) Yoder, Children; Son Harlan (Angie) Yoder, daughters Shannon Barthart and Sherry Cope. Stepsons Tod (Karen) LeMaster, Billy (Jodi) LeMaster and Stepdaughter Kathy Powers. Sisters, Ruth Haimerl, Freda (Jim) Cron, brothers Andrew, Stephen (Nola) Marcus, Wesley (Angela) and Lonnie Yoder. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a special granddaughter Jessica Burn.


In addition to his parents, John is now reunited in heaven with his sister Elizabeth Smiley, Brothers James, Robert and Howard Yoder.


A visitation will be held from 3pm-5pm on Friday September 5, 2025 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, Florida.
