Not sure what to say?

Coach Zap,
A friend, who always had kind words, a coach, who always had used the right style to teach and mold and a man who was always honest, caring, fair and fun. Zap always wanted the best for players and students. Zap is coaching God's Receiving Corps right now. RIP Coach Zap!

Best gym teacher I ever had. I remember vividly over 20 years ago being in his class and having the most fun a kid could ever have. He was warm and no nonsense at the same time. Coach Z you will be missed.

I believe I first met Mr. Zappulla about fifty years ago in Calvin Coolidge School gym class, but the lessons I learned from him still have an influence on me to this day. He had a way to impart wisdom through his actions, so you never really knew he was "teaching", but his message became a part of us all. We really lost a GREAT man that will be missed by many and remembered with admiration and respect by all. May God Watch Over Him & Let Him Rest In Peace!

Our loss is Heavens gain. Coach Zap was a wonderful guy to play for on the Hillside football team and on the Bowling team. I knew him since George Washington school.
Thanks to you, Coach for all that you did.
Thanks to Jack Mandy for the wonderful football picture of coach.
