John M. Zelnicker

I was saddened to see notice of John´s death in the Pennsylvania Gazette. I met him my first week of college while joining the Daily Pennsylvanian. John was a couple of years ahead and took me under his wing and showed me some of the ropes (cliched, but true). We were good friends during the time we overlapped, but then lost touch as life rolled on. I always hoped to get back in touch some day. He was a wonderful character. I´m sorry for your loss.

It is with great sorrow that I read of John's passing! Just thinking I should check in with him again. He is part of my own greatest stories. Our friendship, from the first grade, our competition, our companionship, and regrettably, our distance. It was he who inspired me with my life's question, my life's quest, my life's purpose, and a large part of my fulfillment. May his memory be for a blessing to all who knew him and loved him in one way or another. Love, Anne McLeod
