First met John and Anita through friends when I was teaching at Lew Wallace. Then after I married my husband, another Vietnam veteran, we shared a great deal in common. I think service during that time inspired both men to do what they could to improve the world. John obviously tried and succeeded. He was a good man who loved his family, his pups, and everyone around him. The world will miss him as will I.
