John Eugene Zwirek

To the family of John Zwirek,
Remembering him teaching with my dad Thomas Opeka @ Wyoming Area . Running track in 1980-1985 for Pittston Area . I do remember your father as a prominent track coach @ Wyoming Area . Great days to be in high school with great coaches on both sides of the river . U can never replace them . Their dedication to public students / athletes was empeccable . Sympathy to your family . My deepest condolences to the Zwirek family. I probably got to know Mr Zwirek better than any of my teachers at WMHS. Considering having taken 6 years of phys ed, 4 years of basketball, 4 years of track & field and many hours in the Corvair. He was a good teacher, always fair and honest. I regret not talking with more at our last reunion in 2012. RIP Coach

Oh wow, so sorry to hear of Coach Zwirek passing! I was one of his students Class of 63 Wyoming Memorial High -my track coach/ health teacher!
Brings back many good memories & again sorry for your loss and prayers go out to your whole family!
