Not sure what to say?

We knew John from the Bardstown Road Farmers Market and more recently the Phoenix Hill Farmers Market.
At BRFM I never saw him with anyone; but at PHFM he had several good friends that would accompany him.
I found him to be extremely trusting, perhaps he didn't have a choice but to be that way; but he would buy things and hand me his wallet and tell me to take what I needed.
But the thing I'll remember the most is how he lit up the room (area) when he came around the...

John Durbin, for those who didn't cross your path they just do not know what they missed. I remember watching you from across the room in WHS band, wow you were something else. You always amazed me with your quick wit and one liners. You never missed a beat and oh, the memories. I can't see a Jeep without smiling and laughing and thinking about the band practices and the trips back to the band room in that jeep. You nearly gave Mr. Sommers a heart attack more than once. I ran into you several...

I miss you and your laugh Johnboy! I remember when ever I ask for your help you would chuckle and give me that John Durbin look. From one physically challenged guy to another I know you are nolonger in pain. I have your "Caddy Shack" dvd. You are a great friend.

JP I will deeply miss our talks and sometimes walks to PESTOS, you were a one of a kind man with such a zest for live NOTHING seemed to get you down. You will always live on in the lives you touched. Take Care until we meet again.

I have many fond memories of John. We were in high school band together and shared many fun times. John was free spirited and full of life. I will never forget him and his sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to his family.

You will be greatly missed my friend! The old 84online get togethers will never be the same now!

My original message didn't post. this is edited. -M.

To Curtis, to all the Durbin Family— and to the many friends of John, who, like me, loved him so very much:

John meant a great deal to me. To say that I admired him would very much be the understatement. My admiration, my love, and the compelling desire which drew me to him in friendship, matured over time and afforded me an outstandingly memorable perspective.

What can I say? It was a tremendous...

John, you are missed. Thank you for reestablishing contact. I am sorry that I did not know you were ill. I would have been there. Nothing but fun and positive memories. I looked up to you like a big brother. You inspired and continue to inspire.

John -
We are going to miss our phone calls - catching up, laughing and reminiscing. Talking to you was always a bright spot in our evenings.
