Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Cheney was a teacher who loved her pupils, year after year. She taught us so many valuable lessons about Life...Each day she gave us a "Thought For The Day" to write down, and I still have my notebook from 1966-67. She taught us to respect ourselves, and one another. Even though God was no longer a "politically correct" topic at that time, her values were clearly known. It is with such sadness I learn today of the passing of this great lady. I too was a pupil of Mrs. Cheney's in 6th grade at Holmes Elementary. The life lessons she taught remain with me today. She impacted so many young lives and I dare say each child who was blessed to have her as their teacher has never forgotten her or the unique experience of sixth grade with her. She will remain in my heart as my best and favorite teacher.

Miss Monhollen - Class of 1965/66

My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Cheney's family. I was one of the fortunate students whose lives were touched by this wonderful woman and teacher. She was truly a great human being!

What a wonderful woman and educator. She has left a life long impression on a great many. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. Everyone who ever was educated by her would never forget her and would be eternally grateful for her direction.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mrs. Cheney.
I was fortunate enough to have Mrs.Cheney for my 6th grade teacher at Holmes Elementary.
To this day I can recall her many words of wisdom and her positive impact on my school years.
I loved and respected her deeply.
