Johnnie had a big part in getting Jeff and me together. He will always be remembered as a country boy who could tear up a guitar. He was a good man, husband, and father. Our prayers are always with Kim, Lindsay and Brooke. May God keep his hand on you in this time of need.

Music is a way of life. Johnny inspired me with his gift of music and I hope to take the memories and the lessons with me throughout the rest of my time on this earth. He will always be loved and missed.

To Kim, Lindsay and Brooke
Johnnie will be greatly missed by all but he left you for us to share and to keep his memories alive. Keep on playing and singing and trusting in God, He will see you thru. He made impressions on everyone he came in contact with. Luke Garnett was right, he probably is the head musician in glory! We love you and send our prayers and thoughts to you.

I was really shocked to hear of Johnnies passing. I met Johnnie in work shop many years ago and enjoyed his company. We played "Bluegrass" music together many times.
I remember going to Raleigh one time to purchase a Martin D28 and he said on the way home "I will never forget you as long as I live because you are a true friend"

I hope to see you again Johnnie and we can play some more "Bluegrass Music" once again.

We were shocked to learn of Bro. Johnny's sudden home-going. We have such fond and wonderful memories of our time together at the Light House at Dunns crossroads. We will miss a dear friend and brother in the Lord. We send our prayers and sympathy to Kim and family.
