I always smile when I think of Coach Emmons. I loved getting to know him on a personal basis when I was on staff from 1972-76. Coach was always kind and gracious to me...and virtually everyone. God bless all of his family.

Coach Emmons provided opportunities I am forever grateful for. He was a coach and mentor and much beloved. Mostly I'm grateful for the lifelong friendships I have with people from around the world because Coach brought us together and made us a family. I will never forget the many lessons and blessings he brought to my life. My love goes out to the Emmons family.

Praying for comfort for the family of Coach Johnnie Emmons! He was so loved by the students at Bernice High School! He attended many of our class reunions!

Johnny, so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was my first varsity Coach at Homer High and he help me walk on at Northwestern under Coach My dad (W.E. McKenzie) really like your Dad. He taught us more than football, he taught us about life. A good Coach, as well as, a good man. Tell your Mother we are Praying for comfort and pease for yall.
